Daily 10.00-18.00, Thursdays and Fridays until 21.00

New portraits by renowned photographers Anderson & Low, Jillian Edelstein and Nadav Kander are presented in Aiming High, the final exhibition of the three-year National Portrait Gallery/ BT Road to 2012 project. These are displayed alongside a selection of work from previous years by Brian Griffin, Emma Hardy, Finlay MacKay and Bettina von Zwehl.

Aiming High features portraits of people working in roles crucial to staging the Games, from transport and engineering, to food, music and art, including Sebastian Coe, Stella McCartney and Anish Kapoor. They are shown alongside aspiring young athletes, inspirational Torch Bearers and celebrated British sportspeople such as Mark Cavendish, Tom Daley, Rebecca Adlington, Tom Aggar, Beth Tweddle and Jessica Ennis. The display is complemented by Katherine Green's images of sports communities in London's East End.

Together they provide a fascinating narrative about the preparations for 2012 and bring to life stories of determination, endeavour and achievement.

The exhibition can be seen in different locations across the Gallery including the Ondaatje Wing Main Hall, Rooms 35,39, 39a and 40 on Floor 0, Room 33 on Floor 1 and the Bookshop Gallery on Floor -3. Pick up a Road to 2012 booklet onsite for more information.
